Keep C.A.L.M. – Finding Peace in Anxious Times

Keep C.A.L.M. is one of Center of Hope’s newest classes offered to participants through our Education and Career Development program. Based on the study by Max Lucado titled “Anxious for Nothing: Finding Calm in a Chaotic World,” the class walks people through small group discussion over the key passage of Philippians 4:4-8, equipping them with tools to combat anxiety.

The National Institute of Mental Health says that nearly 50 million Americans will feel the effects of a panic attack, phobias or other anxiety disorders.

Keep C.A.L.M. encourages participants to dwell on the things of God and to apply 4 key principles:

  • Celebrate His goodness
  • Ask for help
  • Leave concerns with Him
  • Meditate on good things
