Walk It Off
Every Thursday, starting March 5th, from 9am – 10am, through April 30th, individuals are invited to join in for Walk It Off, a free 9-week program that encourages establishing the habit of regular physical activity in a fun group setting. Jessica McGee from Better Living for Texans and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension leads the walks through the beautiful Holland Lake Park and finishes by talking about the health benefits of fruits and vegetables and sharing recipes and healthy tips. The class also promotes a physically active life and its benefits, including boosted brain power and focus, weight management, prevention of chronic diseases and other illnesses and more.
