The HEART of Center of Hope

The HEART of Center of Hope

When people come in the door for help, a volunteer is the first person they encounter. Volunteers help our participants get signed in and connected with the right person. It is a volunteer who sits with them to discuss how we can help their family. When participants get a hot meal in the dining room and select groceries in the pantry, volunteers are the ones who serve them.

Volunteers tutor, teach, coach, encourage, and pray with those they encounter. They receive donations at The Hope Chest and sort, clean, price, and display items – all with a smile.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Center of Hope. Over 2,500 individuals each year give of their time and talents to be the hands and feet of Jesus. April is volunteer appreciation month and we would like to extend our deepest thanks to those who give so unselfishly to helping others.

We are so grateful for our volunteer team!

“I am blown away by the amazing volunteers we have who come week after week. They find the work they do here so fulfilling that they plan their life around it. That’s commitment!” — Lindy Woods, Volunteer Coordinator
