Helping Others Like Jesus

Over the past year, Center of Hope has been open on Thursday evenings to help families who are working during standard business hours. Over the past few months, one of our participants, Christy, has come on Thursday evenings to get groceries. These evening hours are a huge blessing as she works full-time at a medical office and is unable to come during the day. Christy can typically handle her expenses, but lately her son’s medical bills have been more than she can afford.

She shared with us the groceries she receives are a big help in an effort to stretch her personal budget. Last week, however, Christy asked for help for herself. She informed us that she had been experiencing nerve pain in her back that flares up from time to time. Unfortunately, it had progressed to the point where she was unable to work and she needed an injection to reduce the pain. The injection would cost Christy $500 which felt like a mountain too big to climb.

Thanks to the generosity of those who support Center of Hope, Christy received her much needed injection and was able to quickly return to work to help provide for her family. From groceries to medical assistance, your support allows others to experience hope that tomorrow can be better than what they experienced today. Thank you!
