Created to Make a Difference
This year, hundreds of young people have walked through our doors. They come from many different backgrounds. Some have been children of participants, Camp Hope campers and many have been volunteers as part of their youth groups, schools and other organizations. Each one is dearly loved by God, and Center of Hope wants to be part of the village that raises Christ-centered children.
For those who are serving, it starts with a willing heart. When young people are given the opportunity to serve, something powerful happens. They begin to see their community differently. They discover they have something to give and learn that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
We see that happening all around us. From Weatherford Christian School donating and serving in the pantry each week to Brock Methodist helping sort food for Camp Hope, young people are given opportunities to serve others. We want Center of Hope to be a place where they can discover how God has called them to serve and use what He’s given them to make an impact in their community. We want to encourage Parker County youth to know God’s love and live out what He has called them to do.
And now, we’re taking that lesson one step further. Our new Youth Service & Leadership Experience (YSLE) program is getting ready to launch, giving high school students the opportunity to serve their community, develop leadership skills and learn what it means to walk alongside others with humility and compassion.
We hope you are as excited as we are about this movement that God has placed on Center of Hope, we encourage you to learn more about the YSLE program here.
