Springtown Area Community Impact Project Update

Springtown Area Community Impact Project Update

It is hard to believe, but Center of Hope’s Springtown location has been open for nearly two years!  God has been moving in the Springtown area and we continue to be blessed by wonderful partnerships with local churches, schools, and individuals.  Center of Hope Springtown was made possible by the collaborative partnership with Texas Health Resources.  This partnership addresses immediate needs of individuals in crisis, helps reduce anxiety and depression through integrated mental health services, and improves self-efficacy through education and career development.  Now in its second grant period, Texas Health Resources has awarded Center of Hope with $283,000 to continue this work until 2024.

This project focuses on one targeted zip code, 76082, which was identified by the Texas Health’s Community Health Needs Assessment. Since the initial grant period, Center of Hope has been able to help 42% more families in this Springtown zip code than in previous years.  But, this project hasn’t come without its challenges.  With over 2,600 visits to this location and providing close to 5,000 services, Center of Hope is looking for volunteers who can help with positions in data entry, advising, and life coaching.

If you feel God is moving you to volunteer in the Springtown area, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Lindy, at 817.594.0266 ext. 327 or email volunteer@centerofhopetx.com.
