As Valerie stared at her GED certificate, she knew she had made the right choice. “I received a phone call from Jerry about a class being offered about leadership development,” remembers Valerie. “I wasn’t even sure I wanted to take the class, but finally decided I would. I never expected that in just a few weeks I would have learned so much about myself. The class motivated me to get me GED. I studied, took the test and passed. I feel so important and can't keep the smile off my face."

Leadership Development is a 6-week program that helps students understand the difference in being a worker and becoming a leader in the workplace. Once students complete Jobs for Life and gain employment, it is important to continue their education with classes that will help them become more successful in their careers. By providing educational resources along with supportive coaching, students will continue to work towards their long-term goals.
