    Crisis Assistance Volunteers

    Advocate is a great opportunity to work with people one day a week from 9:45am–2:15pm.  Advocates talk with clients and help them with resources to fit their particular need.  They also share the Gospel and pray with each client.  Training and a letter of recommendation from a pastor is required for this position.

    Data Entry Workers are often the first person that our clients talk with when they enter our doors.  After obtaining the necessary information from the clients, the workers input the data into our computer system. This position also includes answering phones and other administrative duties . Requires a commitment one day a week between the hours of 9:45am–2:15pm. 

    Office Assistants are needed daily to ensure smooth operation at the Center. There are many different areas  where are office assistants serve. These positions include: answering phones, greeting clients, administrative tasks, helping with the newsletter mailings and much more!  

    Kitchen/Dining Room Assistants are needed daily to prepare and serve meals for our clients from 10:00am–2:00pm.  This is an exciting ministry opportunity for your church or business.  Read more about how we serve through our kitchen.

    Our Pantry Team serves our clients directly by helping them select groceries according to family size and availability.  This position also involves stocking and organizing the pantry.  Several volunteers are needed daily. Read more about our pantry.

    Drivers are needed to pick up donated food items from stores and individuals as well as weekly Food Bank pick ups. 

    Prayer Volunteers are needed at the Center to pray over prayer requests or even pray with clients.  This position can be preformed at the Center or at home.

    Education and Career Development Volunteers

    Instructors are needed to lead classes, tutor students or teach individual sessions for our clients working towards long-term solutions.   Please see a listing of all our classes to see where your special skills and talents fit!

    Adult Education Tutors are needed to work with one-on-one with students needing help with basic skills in reading and math.  For a more detailed description of this special program, please visit our Adult Education page

    Life Coaches play a vital role in the lives of our students.  By dealing with students directly, Life Coaches are able identify roadblocks and help come up with ways to overcome these barriers.  This position is extremely rewarding as your help students through their daily challenges.  Training is required. 

    Office Assistants are needed daily to ensure the Education and Career Development program runs smoothly. There are many different areas  where are office assistants serve. These positions include: receptionist, greeting clients, administrative tasks, data entry and much more!

    Basic English Volunteers help with childcare and simple lessons to get Spanish speaking children ready for school with vocabulary building.

    Family Empowerment Volunteers

    Camp Hope On-site volunteers have the opportunity to work with children as they cook, read and play at Camp.  There are multiple camps throughout neighborhoods in Parker County where individuals, churches or businesses can volunteer.  Visit our Camp Hope page for more information.  What a great way to spend a summer!

    Camp Hope Center volunteers help prepare food packets for the different Camps held during the summer.  This task may include copying, collating and organizing paperwork as well as organizing the Camp Hope room.  This is a great way to spend your time volunteering during the summer.  Visit our Camp Hope page for more information.

    Study Club meets Thursdays from 3:15-5:00PM. Volunteers arrive at a neighborhood location to work with elementary age children. Volunteers help with snacks, relationship building, and homework help. We also teach good study skills and Bible verses.

    Moms with Hope Volunteers help with teaching, mentoring and relationship building.

    The Hope Chest Volunteers

    Volunteers will help sort, pack, and stock items in the store. This is great for large groups or individuals.
